چکیده
Abstract The work describes experiments and models related to auxetic (negative Poisson’s ratio) foams subjected low-frequency variable amplitude 3-point bending loading. A custom vibration test rig is designed used perform the dynamic of PU foam beams within range (1–20 Hz) 5 different displacement amplitudes. tested in this are manufactured using a simplified relatively low-cost uniaxially thermoforming compression technique, which leads production with transverse isotropic characteristics. Auxetic beam samples two cutting orientations ratios r c (20–80%) compared, also use theoretical Euler–Bernoulli-based finite element models. modulus increases , ranging between 0.5 MPa, while loss factor marginally affected by ratio, overall values 0.2 0.3. has noticeable amplitude-dependent stiffness factors, but slightly decreases frequency. 20–40% larger than quasi-static one, static factors quite close. modified Bouc–Wen model further developed capture frequency-dependent properties conventional volumetric ratios. shows good agreement experimental results.

Performance of Air Foam Flooding under Low Frequency Vibration
Foam injection is widely applied in amounts of fields to drilling, production, and formation protection. Sometimes, the application result is disappointing, which is caused by the failure of bubble generation in foam flooding. Therefore, it is necessary to seek ways for improving the performance of foam injection. An increased disturbance to the stratum, like the vibration caused by a seismic o...

متن کاملBending Stiffness of Aluminium Foams
The basic manufacturing processes of cellular materials have been briefly noted as well as the metal foam properties. The most widely used are the aluminium foams due to the following properties: very good insulation (thermal insulation and sound absorption), low density (mass), high specific rigidity in sandwich structures, very good impact damping, corrosion resistance, non-flammability, very...
متن کاملpH-dependent hysteretic behaviour of human myeloblastin (leucocyte proteinase 3).
Human myeloblastin (leucocyte proteinase 3) showed a very slow approach to the steady-state velocity when the pH was rapidly increased from 3.2 to 7.0. The kinetic mechanism of this hysteretic process was interpreted as a slow conformational change of myeloblastin from an inactive form at acidic pH to the active form at neutral pH. The transition between the two enzyme forms could occur spontan...
متن کاملDroplet behaviour under high intensity acoustic vibration
The reduction in scale of fluidic based chemical and biological processes offers significant analytical and sensitivity improvements as well as reduced reagent usage, increased automation and reduced manufacture costs. Droplets deposited on a planar surface offer a convenient way of investigating very small sample sizes. We investigate the effect of vibration of droplets in the direction normal...
